Our DirectorDante' Wilson Dante' Wilson considers himself as "The People's Choice." Growing up in Baltimore City and raised by a single mother, he sometimes felt the odds were against him. Living in an environment where broken homes, schools that lacked resources, drugs, and families who suffered from mental and physical abuse and violence, were the norm, Dante' wanted to be "that light that awakens people from their darkness." Dante' graduated from High School at the age of 16. He later went on to receive his Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice with a focus on Juvenile Deliquency. After realizing that families needed more services, Dante' created a program that works and empower the entire household as one unit. According to him, "It is impossible to rehabilitate a child without including the household." In September 2003, Dante' opened a Community-Based Development Corporation (CDC) that empowers the entire household. The name of this CDC is Reclaiming Our Children And Community Project, Inc. (R.O.C.A.C.P.). R.O.C.A.C.P. is a family cultural enrichment multi-purpose center located at 1329 W. Baltimore Street in Balitmore, Maryland. |
